Pursuits and interests
I enjoy listening to and writing music and play several instruments. I am a keen swimmer and surfer and I also like to play squash and tennis on a regular basis with friends and colleagues.
I like to travel and I often visit cities and towns scouring for interesting architecture. I am an avid photographer with interest in portraits and unusual perspectives including urban development and social subjects. In addition to work undertaken on computers I maintain an interest in art and hand-drawing which I feel enhances the overall design process.

Work
I am an architectural design consultant currently based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I have been involved in building design and detailed construction design for over 9 years and had extensive training and experience up to my current level. Building design is my greatest passion, which I am deeply committed and enthusiastic about. It brings the joys and challenges that motivate me, I work by the philosophy that you never stop learning in the industry, with the constant development of technologies, materials, methods and permissions. I strive to continually better my understanding technically and academically an endeavor to discover fresh inspirations to improve my creativity and technical application as a building designer.

The role of an Architectural Technologist
Chartered Architectural Technologists (MCIAT) provide architectural design services and solutions. They are specialists in the science of architecture, building design and construction and form the link between concept and construction. They negotiate the construction project and manage the process from conception through to completion.
